Was tasked with creating all of Configuration Management for a government contract which had very little CM. Created and implemented the distributed CM Plan, as well as the processes and procedures. Used Serena’s Version Manager (VM) and TeamTrack.
Established and facilitated the Internal Review Board and the Change Control Board. All CIs are placed under version control in VM, scripts were created to built code to different environments based on the need; i.e. Test, UAT, Training, Production. All defects are tracked via TeamTrack and moved through the SDLC for the type of defect, Bug, Defect, or System change requests.

Configuration Management Specialist
Provided complete Configuration Management Control for the Payment Management System (PMS) application, which is a very large financial management system used to track and disperse grant payments. Duties include; establishing baselines, Service Change Requests and their promotion through the CM process, maintaining modules in PVCS Version Manager database, and tracking changes through the PVCS Tracker SCR Change Request database. All application changes are controlled by PVCS and are maintained with Version Manager. All change requests are maintained in Tracker. Created the Version Description Document (VDD) for each version release of software going into production and performed all of the ORACLE database administration functions.
Performing software Releases into Production both manually and using scripts.
Wrote and maintained documentation as it relates to CM. Wrote and assembled System Design Document (SDD) using ORACLE’s Designer. Also responsible for the maintenance of the PVCS Tracker database. This is an ORACLE 8.05 and 8I database running on an NT platform holding approximately 10gigabytes of data.
Completed a project to review, demonstrate and procure automated testing tools. Got a list of test tool vendors from the IEEE web site and begin assessing the vendors against the requirements to procure an automated test tool for the project. Narrowed the search to four vendors who had to perform demos of their products to management, via WebEx. After viewing the demos and measuring the products against the requirements, Mercury TestDirector was chosen. Worked with the QA team to garner their process and procedures and used that information to complete the procedures documentation, with the challenge being the roll-back of the database. Then begin the installation of the product and getting it running for the QA group, who begin entering test cases for their test cycles.
