Educational Testing Services Contributing Editor
Was responsible for writing and revising text for a textbook in Algebra and another in Differential Equations. Carlin-Simpson and Associates Programmer/Site Inspector/Project Manager
Wrote programs for the day-to-day functioning of a geo-technical engineering office. These included programs for accounting and lab experiments. Additionally, I was tasked with learning the practical functions of a construction site inspector/site manager. While performing in this capacity, I was directly involved in several high-profile projects: the Secaucus Transfer Station wherein I derived and wrote the formulas for the foundation of that structure; the decommissioning of the Philadelphia Naval Station in which we surveyed all of the sub-grade utilities and I was qualified for a sensitive level security clearance with the Department of the Navy; the entire construction of the Lake Ridge, and the subsequent Fairways at Lake Ridge projects in Lakewood, N.J.I participated in performing lab experiments the results of which formed the guidelines for many construction projects during my tenure. Included in my duties were the tasks of drafting and technical writing for engineering. These drawings and papers were published and presented to the clients for review and implementation. It was during this time that I also became certified as a Radiation Safety Officer as some of the test equipment used was isotope driven.
