- Used RMAN on a regular basis to produce hot and cold backups, which were restored onto alternate environments. Special cold restoration procedures were developed and used to go from an older Linux platform that supported Oracle 9i to a newer platform that only supported Oracle 10g.
- Recovered a production RMAN backup to an alternate location without a recovery catalog, and then used transportable tablespaces to move the selected data from the restored database back into production.
