| Description | DCJS Legacy Renewal LR DCJS Legacy Renewal LR project is a migration of DCJS s current mainframe applications to Java/J2EE based application on IBM platform. LR project is based on Service Oriented Architecture SOA and implemented on IBM family of products. The main systems involved are Finger print processing identification processing generating rap sheets and dispositions in various formats like xml html and plain text. The system maintains both Civil and Criminal information. The new system will have ability to be able to respond to changing user and application needs by establishing a modern architecture for all DCJS systems. DCJS will leverage its systems to provide greater functionality and better integration with other criminal justice services from local State and Federal partner agencies. The system will execute on an IBM p-series 595 system using AIX WebSphere Application Server WebSphere Portal JAVA MQ Series and Oracle Database software. All custom coding is done in Java/J2EE. The user interface to the new applications is delivered through JavaServer Faces and deployed on WebSphere Portal. WebSphere Message Broker is used to support interconnections and message switching. Inter-process communications such as those currently supported by MCP and GEMCOS is supported through various JAVA and MQ Series etc. messaging technologies. The new system will make use of the Department s strategic Oracle database and require the addition of more database tables to the Oracle database. Some mainframe database data will be converted to the new Oracle database tables. In addition the new system will interface with the Division s use of CA eTrust SiteMinder with SunONE LDAP security framework. Responsibilities
