Used my software conversion tools to convert 2300 DEC COBOL/Oracle programs running on a DEC Alpha computer to run on a HP UNIX computer using ACUCOBOL. My extensive knowledge of IDMS and COBOL allowed for the conversion of 2400 IBM CICS/IDMS COBOL programs CICS Maps and JCL to run on a HP UNIX computer using ACUCOBOL Pro COBOL and Perl scripts. The code was created using my Java Program Generator. Hardware is X86s wireless PDAs and Bar Code scanning. Netbeans was the IDE used for development. The PDA code and Bar Code are also written in Java. The complete system consists of more than 200 Java application programs. Using my conversion tools 1900 programs were converted and put in production within a year. The conversion was from UNISYS to DEC hardware. The conversion project came in ahead of schedule and well under budget.
