Description:. Chevron Shipping company went live with Maximo in 2009 with Maximo 7114 26 ships . Since then they have been using the same version of Maximo. Architecture is such that there is one shore instance which is the master data instance and each of the 26 ships have their own Maximo instance. External integration exists with SAP and Shipserv. Each of the vessels replicate data with the shore instance using Dataxtend. There are regular support issues related to data integrity due to replication. Some of the change requests include creating reports/configuration changes etc. Release frequency is every 6 months but it's expected to be reduced to every quarter. There are new vessels builds lined up with one vessel every month for next 6 months.
Chevron is now keen on upgrading the infrastructure from windows 2003 to windows 2008, WebSphere 6 to WebSphere 7. In order to do this Maximo needs to be upgraded too as WebSphere 7 needs minimum Maximo 7115. So Maximo is being upgraded to Maximo 71112 using the patch. Down the line this would also help in upgrading to Maximo 7.5

Description:. SmartMiles is an in-house mobile platform designed by LNT infotech. DCP midstream have implemented syclo and it was discussed to replace it with SmartMiles. In this project we integrated Smart Miles with Maximo so that any work order can be created on Maximo though Android device and whenever there is a change in the status of work order a notification is sent out to smart miles, and then Smart Miles triggers a sms for the concerned person.
