Completed all radiation safety online learning required by Cardinal Health, as well as reading the proper materials for self-study throughout the course of the rotation

Performed quality control testing on Tc-99m radiopharmaceuticals to ensure they meet USP United States Pharmacopeia guidelines.

Undertook many general nuclear pharmacy service tasks such as: proper disposal of bio-hazardous waste, wiping and scanning of returned ammo-cans and used dose returns contained in pigs using appropriate instrumentation to check for any radioactive contamination upon return, disposal of sterile syringes that were used for radiopharmaceutical compounding into appropriate containers until completely decayed to avoid exposure to workers, wrapping and processing of ammo-cans for shipping to customers.

Assisted the pharmacist in properly labeling drug kit inventory received

Visited and spent the day at a nuclear medicine department observing patient scans and nuclear medicine technologist procedures and responsibilities

Undertook drug information projects on the radiopharmaceutical tracer drugs Cardiolite , Cardiogen-82 , Amyvid , Neuraceq , and Vizamyl .
