  • architected PCI compliant VDI solution leveraging Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 on NetApp FlexPod VMware hypervisor ESXi 4.1 NetApp FAS3060 as the storage solution . The solution supported 2000 VDI instances that leveraged external peripherals on the endpoints i.e. touch screen, signature capture, printers, and credit card input devices.

  • architected and deployed the migration solution for Ricoh's upgrade to vSphere 5 from VMware ESX 3.5 U5. Project scope included upgrading 30 hosts, migration of 400 virtual machines, and the creation of POC and Non-Production ESXi environments that adheres to SDLC. New features leveraged allowed Ricoh to reclaim 8 terabytes of space and reduce OPEX leveraging datastore clusters in addition to numerous other performance and operational benefits. Julius leveraged vCenter Heartbeat to maintain business continuity for the vCenter server.

  • was a consultant on a VMware virtualization infrastructure project for a billion dollar GCC Corporation on a multi-tenancy private cloud platform. The project scope was a Greenfield deployment of all Microsoft infrastructure technologies and the migration from the legacy infrastructure.
  • He managed VMware resources and provided oversight in the design and deployment of the VMware VSphere ESXi 4.1 on 50 Dell R815 hosts with 256GB of RAM across four environments that spanned two data centers and five environments. Implemented the following features:
  • Automated install via PXE boot
  • 10GigE ISCSI converged HBA for storage and networking
  • Affinity/Anti-Affinity rule
  • HA, DRS, and vDistributed switches

  • Julius also took on additional responsibility to design and implemented LYNC 2010. Features deployed were A/V, Edge, Monitoring, Archiving, Federation, Auto Discovery, Web Conference, and IM/Presence in a high availability capacity. The scope was an active/active production and disaster recovery site design with internal multi-tenant private cloud capability. Each tenant required an independent SIP domain.


  • managed an infrastructure team that supported the design, build, test, and deployed VMware Lab Manager on the CISCO UCS and NetApp platform. The environment consisted of three Lab Manager Instances worldwide with dedicated clusters and hosts.
  • Lab Manager is an add-on to the VSphere stack that saves time, simplifies administration of fast changing environments and enables project teams to complete the Solution Development life cycle faster, more efficiently, less effort and resources. Lab Manager was instrumental in the migration and entire infrastructure upgrade to Windows Servers 2008, LYNC 2010, SCCM, Exchange 2010, by creating copies of production servers in an isolated environment. This effort reduced the storage requirements and administrator for the client by at least 50 . Key deliverables are listed below:
