  • 36 years experience in Information Technology.
  • Thirty-two years were in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. From a Programmer Trainee in 1977, I advanced to Project Supervisor in 1982. I held this position until I was moved to a technical position in 1987. I worked as the Systems Engineer for the Gateway Team, assisting with the maintenance of the Gateway CICS DB2 system. I provided technical support as needed to other programmers on the team. I was also responsible for troubleshooting production problems. I attended classes to learn Notes development and spent some time in a maintenance position before I was asked to help support the Foremost NSI system. This system is an online, real time CICS DB2 system. I also supported the Advantage and Autotester systems which process the Umbrella, Yacht, and Marine business.
  • Three and years were at GDIT working on the COB team which supports the systems which coordinate benefits between Medicare and Independent Insurance providers.
  • Currently, I work at T. Rowe Price on various projects supporting the Retirement Services group.

I have learned from test teams I have worked with how to test to make sure my changes are working as well as making sure they have not had an adverse effect on the rest of the application being changed.   • Developed and implemented a CLIST used to submit batch jobs for testing of the Gateway Policywriting system.
  • Developed a prototype using Autotester Script for the process which is used by Zurich to move data from STAR Family Boaters into the Foremost NSI system.
