MULTIPLES PROJECT 7/2006-6/2007
Spearheaded a new way to place multiples in classrooms when they entered District 150, whose current policy was to separate all multiples into different classrooms. Worked with District 150 Superintendent Ken Hinton, the Principal at Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center Beth Bussan, some teachers of Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center, other Early Childhood Education Specialists for the District, and other parents of multiples to bring ideas together for consideration for a possible new policy on placement of multiples. Did extensive research into the topic of separation of multiples, both pros and cons, and put together binders of information for our first meeting. Wrote the final product of the new policy for multiples at Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Education Center, and this extensive document was sent to the School Board for consideration in passing for the entire District.
