Description: XO Communications is a  telecommunication company and ICP is their Customer Portal. The ICP runs on a  .Net 3.5 platform with most of its data coming from an Oracle Backend Database.  This website is developed based on a Modal View Presenter design pattern.

Project: VISION


Description: The  existing VI Order to Cash System used by MPF (Mitsubishi Polyester Films) ran  on a HP 3000 and was about 20 years old. The technology was near obsolete and  the system did not address the growing business needs. The objective of our  project was to re-engineer the existing HP 3000 based Order to Cash used by MPF  at its manufacturing division in Greer into a more reliable, robust and  scalable solution.

The  Business Process Cycle covered the entire business process from the Order  Creation for a Customer, Order management, Invoicing and Cash Receipt. The  cycle begins when customer demand is identified. This demand must be confirmed  and converted to an order to either start production or ship product from  inventory. The order is then tracked through production, warehousing and  shipment. Once items are shipped, an invoice is created and finally payment is  recorded.

Description: The Schwan Food Company with millions  of customers and more than 6000 employees handles large volumes of data related  to its customers, employees, products, sales, assets, regions etc. In order to  handle such voluminous data the Schwan Food Company used Mainframe systems to  validate, store and process the data. This mainframe system ran on a base of  about 4-5 million lines of code. Since such a system is non user friendly,  bulky and very difficult to maintain, The Schwan Food Company decided to  rewrite all the Mainframe applications in .Net thereby eliminating the  Mainframe systems over a period of time and move to a more robust, user  friendly and easy to maintain .Net environment.

Description: The National Insurance Database is a  system built to report prior insurance history for a driver. Contributing  insurance companies may access the policy data to determine prior insurance for  a driver at the time of writing a new policy.  Access will be provided through an Internet application or through an  integrated connection with the insurance company. Description: CC-Telemoney replacement project emerged because the  client Schwans wanted to replace the third party credit card processing tool  Telemoney, which processed data from a tilda ‘~' separated file, with another  third party tool called Super Charge which processed XML files and did not want  any further changes in third party tools to affect any of the programs. For  this we brought in a Schwans format and made all Schwans programs to interact  in this format. And we had BizTalk Server 2002 to map this format to the format  required by other third party tools.
