  • I am a software developer on a contract through Iconma LLC in a software architect group for an oil and gas project.
  • FME is an ETL software program for converting over 400 different GIS, CAD, and database formats. The developer role is to create extract-transform-load scripts to read existing well, well pad, and oil field data from SQL databases and verify new wells. I was also involved in writing C scripts to call data from FME Server using REST. This is part of a much larger database integration and business intelligence reporting project involving SQL Server Information Services, SQL Server databases, Oracle, SAP, land and lease, and well log data. The main GIS database used is ArcSDE middleware on both SQL Server and Oracle platforms.

I worked with web maps on Visual Fusion GIS for Silverlight, data creation and collection with ESRI ArcGIS and ESRI ArcSDE, and data storage on a Microsoft SharePoint repository. I was the GIS lead at the Navy Region Midwest Regional Emergency Operations Center, which stands watch for natural disasters, workplace violence, and security incidents at Navy installations in 16 states.
