Project Description: Search as you type using SQL in databases provides interactive search interface. Initially, the databases such as Oracle and SQL server have some prefix search called as search-as-you-type. The database that supports search as-you-type is relation database management system RDBMS . In this project Exact search and Fuzzy search in database are implemented in two methods such as single keyword and multi keyword queries that can be achieved through search-as-you-type. In the case of multi keyword queries we developed a word level incremental method to get an efficient search keyword. But both methods are used to scan a table and verify each record by calling a user defined function UDF or using the LIKE predicate. On the other hand there are also techniques to answer first-N quires efficiently. The earlier queries data are stored inside the database and can be used for our future purpose. By the end of this project, we learnt how to improve query performance by utilizing the limited significant power of SQL language to support proficient search.

Project Description: In this project, we developed a mobile app called Recipes App that allows its users to search for recipes from a database, manage, and create new recipes. Creating a recipe includes uploading a picture, main ingredients and directions for preparing recipe. These all will be stored in database and retrieving these values from database and displaying them on the mobile screen is main part. We used touch interfaces, different types of screen views in Xcode. Thus, we gained a very useful experience with IOS platform and also the objective C used in Xcode made us improve our programming skills.

Project Description: In this project, we consider the problem of detecting whether a compromised router is maliciously manipulating its stream of packets. In particular, we are concerned with a simple yet effective attack in which a router selectively drops packets destined for some victim. Modern networks routinely drop packets when the load temporarily exceeds their buffering capacities. We have designed, developed, and implemented a compromised router detection protocol that dynamically infers, based on measured traffic rates and buffer sizes, the number of congestive packet losses that will occur.
