The client is a leading retailer based in Texas. Michaels uses Oracle HRMS to manage employee data ,salary and employee benefits for US and Canada employees. Many enhancements were required to support the current business. Aetna Interface was developed to enhance the employees to add/modify/remove the dependents in the enrollment plans during Open enrollment. Self Service Responsibility was assigned to both US and Canada employees. This responsibility had Tax forms which was not applicable for the Canadian employees. Hence the business requested for a new responsibility for Canadian employees with features as existing one except for the Tax forms. To implement this, solution was to end date all the existing My HR Self Service Responsibility for the Canadian employees and add new responsibility.

Client uses Oracle Core HR to maintain employee data. Initially the Oracle HR data were maintained in non-standard places. They were migrated to standard places. All the database objects Views,MaterializedViews, Packages, Procedures, Custom.pll were modified so that the data refers from the standard tables. Client uses third party application for generating payroll .The data for payroll is sent from Oracle. As part of enhancements, inbound interface were developed for uploading salary, Grade rates, updating review dates. A customized process was created for converting active Applicant to Employee.
