  • Beazley U.S.A. Excel, Word, VBA Used Excel VBA to design user-friendly interface to streamline entry of data for various insurance products. Used automation to generate Word documents based on user's input. Project performed validations to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • LEGO Systems, Inc. Excel, Access, VBA Wrote custom Excel VBA application to properly allocate available supply to retailers. Used VBA to convert extracted raw data into form suitable for import into Access database.
  • Kollmorgen Electro-Optical Access, VBA, SQL Designed custom VBA application in Access to allow review of data, fast computation of supplier statistics, and display and distribution of reports.

  • SYSCO Access, VBA Wrote VBA routine to automate generation and sending of Access reports previously, the employee had to manually run and send each report. Implemented mechanisms to handle foreseeable errors, such as forgetting to change from employee's own Outlook profile to the report mailer profile or inputting improper date ranges.
  • OneBeacon Professional Partners Word, VBA Converted Word documents into interactive Adobe forms. Designed them to be very professional, user-friendly, and functionally logical. Used sophisticated JavaScript to cross reference with other fields and validate entries, and to give a specific alert to the user or take corrective action when necessary. Optimized Java code using functions and loops.
  • SYSCO Access, Excel, VBA Took existing Access database utility and designed user-friendly front end form to enable use while no longer requiring the user to navigate the maze of query, table, and macro objects. Results exported to Excel were then further formatted by the script, and unwanted records were deleted, making it no longer necessary for the user to manually filter the data.

  • Travelers Life Annuity Excel, VBA Designed sophisticated custom utility to properly sort multiple ranges on multiple sheets, able to adapt to different numbers of header rows in the ranges and able to automatically detect correct column location.
  • American Red Cross Word, VBA Transitioned poster design from tape and scissors method to elegant PC design designed custom print command and icon to automatically detect pre-printed poster background image, conceal prior to print, and restore after sending to print queue.
  • CB Richard Ellis Excel, VBA Improved consolidation of data from multiple workbooks into one central workbook by using automated VBA program instead of old manual method. Effected substantial time and labor savings, while also eliminating possibility of human error.
  • OneBeacon Financial Acrobat, JavaScript Wrote macros to streamline modification and conversion of > 1,500 internal Word documents to secure PDF format suitable for external distribution. Saved labor costs and at the same time allowed for project to be completed ahead of schedule. Also, converted paper applications to fillable PDF format.
