They also want to provide the information in an electronic format that is accessible throughout the State. As a result, MetaLogix paired Microsoft's SharePoint Technology and Workflow Technology to develop a custom electronic document management system EDMS with integrated workflow management.

  • Assisted client by establishing a SharePoint Portal framework for the document management of complex processes and other company-wide information. In addition to streamlining the organization's communication and document sharing processes, the solution provided a single environment for capturing and maintaining the information relevant to process initiatives and strategic project web parts. The SharePoint Portal solution also integrates with Lotus Notes and Cognos.

  • Worked closely with this major pharmaceutical company to review their existing business processes and communication flows between their domestic headquarters and their international distributors and subsidiaries. The current business-processing environment was inefficient and paper intensive. We defined a solution for a secure extranet Portal to facilitate communication, streamline processes and enhance knowledge sharing between corporate and all international distributors. Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server was a natural fit. SharePoint fulfilled the defined requirements and achieved the objective of allowing International Distributors to easily do business with the company. The MetaLogix Team also developed web parts for order entry and product forecasting. The portal solution helped our client to significantly reduced printing and shipping costs, gain competitive advantage in recruiting International Distributors, and streamline international orders.
