  • Assurant Quality Control had many manual processes which are very time consuming to their staff. I documented these manual processes and created automated processes to replace these tedious tasks. Specifically, they had PowerPoint presentations that they updated manually each month.
  • Created a push-button MS Access application, utilizing VBA code. This application mines the MS Access data, creates multiple Excel files with Excel Charts and exports these charts into a PowerPoint presentation. It also inserts a raw data Excel file into the PowerPoint presentation as an object. These presentations can be created for an unlimited number of clients Banks and Mortgage Companies .
  • Project Management: I was the only software developer working on this project. My Assurant Manager gave me task of producing the Excel files and PowerPoint Presentation on a monthly basis. It was up to me to figure out how to automate the manual process. Therefore, I basically managed the project myself.
  • Results: Assurant management and staff are extremely happy with my work ethic and attention to detail. I saved them an enormous amount of time and money.

  • Designed the Automated Calling System for The Colography Group in a SCO-UNIX environment using filePro. ACS allowed our call center to ask complex surveys and retrieve the answers in real-time. The survey questions are displayed on the same screen where the caller enters the respondent data. Prior to my arrival at CGI these surveys were done on paper and then manually entered. The ACS system has greatly increased the productivity of the call center and accuracy of the respondent data.
  • Created new MS Access 2003 databases for client-driven applications, as well as in-house applications at CGI. Proficient at creating switchboards, tables, queries, forms, reports, macros and modules in either Access 97 or Access 2003.
