Systems Engineer

  • Developed / tested Security Content Automation Protocol SCAP Content and validated using auditing tools SCAP Compliance Checker SPAWAR, DISA , Ovaldi NIST, NetIQ -SCAPMar for SPAWAR IRS Information Assurance software development program. This was the end point of the process of converting IT Security Policy into the tests and checks used to verify compliance of servers, workstations, etc. systems of the IRS IT enterprise. Developed several for us new concepts in order to make content more efficient reduced lines of XML content from approximately 35000 / platform to 10000, human-understandable and therefore: maintainable. The goal was to create content unavailable before our effort which will be used by the IRS with their infrastructure compliance tool.
  • Developed XML database application for management / development of Security Content Automation Protocol SCAP for the SPWAR IRS Software Dev. Group. The goal was to make SCAP content development and maintenance tasks more efficient, less error-prone and to allow the reuse of content. Task was 85 complete -- One could use the application to create, update/modify, export etc. SCAP OVAL content before being shelved for higher priority projects.

  • NASA Dryden RAIF Simulation Facility System Engineering, Administration and Network Support.   • Designed and installed systems Backup Recovery system. Performed Security, Contingency planning and testing.
