  • Siemens RIS PACS Implementation: Lead a market-wide RIS PACS migration, conversion, and implementation. The source platform was GE Centricity and the target platform was Siemens syngo.Workflow RIS and syngo.Plaza PACS . Business drivers for this project included a technology refresh and implementing a Vendor Neutral Archive VNA solution. This system integrates with Siemens Soarian Clinical HIS and HMS Financial HIS .
  • Vendor Neutral Archive VNA Implementation: Lead the effort to implement a VNA solution. This solution integrated with a Siemens RIS PACS implementation and was also part of a corporate-wide backup / disaster-recovery platform. The technology stack included: EMC Isilon / Atmos, Perceptive Software Acuo VNA , and VMware virtual machines.
  • Philips Xcelera Migration: Lead a data migration effort from an existing Siemens ACOM platform to a Philips Xcelera cardiac imaging system. Coordinated this effort among multiple vendors / stakeholders including: Philips, EMC, Siemens, and a third-party data migration provider.
  • Change Management Program: Designed and implemented a market-wide change management program. This was the first initiative of its' kind and championed by the Market's CEO and CIO. Implementing this CM program resulted in a dramatic decline in failed changes. Key Performance Indicators KPI and metrics were collected to measure progress.
  • McKesson Horizon Lab Laboratory Implementation: Participated in a Supporting-Advisory role driving the project to completion to meet Meaningful Use MU Stage-2 internal attestation deadlines. Keys to success included: Aggressive GAP analysis, fully engaged vendor participation, and daily task driven management.
  • Lackawanna Ambulance Acquisition: Lackawanna Ambulance LA was a recent acquisition by one of the member hospitals. My role was to develop and execute a plan to integrate LA's technology infrastructure dispatch and GPS systems into the Market's primary data-center. This was accomplished using Wide-Area Network and VMware virtualization technologies.
  • Siemens PACS Array Migration: Lead effort to swap out and migrate a severely degraded and unsupported IBM PACS Array. The solution included swapping out IBM storage and replacing it with an EMC architecture. Coordinate activities with local US EMC engineering and Siemens support engineers located in Germany to ensure we had a fully supported operational solution.

  • Chubb Insurance: Deployed a co-located Vblock 300FX Private Cloud solution. The solution was built using the latest virtual network, storage, and virtualization technologies from Cisco, EMC, and VMware. It provided the framework from which to build a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure supporting 2,500 desktops and failover capabilities.
  • AIG Insurance: Performed a live Matrix upgrade on production and DR co-located Vblock systems. This upgrade addressed every component of the VCE technology stack including firmware upgrades and transitioning from vSphere 4.1 to 5.0. This work was performed 100 remotely with seamless global hand-offs across international time zones.

  • Senior Manager within the Time and Attendance Program for the City of New York. A 700 Million program designed to consolidate, integrate, and automate NYC employee timekeeping across 80 City agencies supporting 150,000 personnel. Responsibilities include operations back-office datacenter and integration management, procurement/vendor management, and project management. Assisted in the Project Management and Scheduling components of several multimillion-dollar RFP responses with dollar values ranging from 12M to 120M.
  • Senior Operations Manager Operations Group during the initial live system cutover with a team of 35 FTEs responsible for its support and maintenance. Technical disciplines include operating system Solaris 10 database Oracle RAC 11g , networking Cisco , storage EMC , applications IBM WebSphere and MQ , and IBM Mainframe Legacy integration. Real-time systems monitoring, network security penetration testing, support for application release deployments, patch management, hw/sw upgrades, and capacity planning. Business aspects include procurement/vendor/subcontractor management, warranty and maintenance renewals, weekly client progress reporting, and Service Level Management.
  • Senior Project Manager responsible for implementing a Biometric and Video Management Access Control system for a large New York City Agency. Built the system using the Lenel OnGuard a UTC Company access control platform and integrated it with this agency's existing personnel system along with its building management's turnstile system. Custom scripts were developed and tested to perform nightly batch processing with back-office systems. Eight other agency remote locations across the NYC boroughs were network integrated and coordinated with NYC's primary Information and Technology services agency.
  • Senior Project Manager responsible for the implementation of a Smart Card ID Mifare HID Badge and Biometric Integration system for a large New York City Agency. The implementation of a smart-card based secure identification badge and biometric access control system. This included many features of the US Federal Government FIPS-201 PIV-II specification. C CURE ID a Tyco Company was the access control system platform utilized and integrated with an existing ADT system.

  • Managed a 10 Million Internet-enabled application prototype development for MetLife. The prototype development used Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques implemented using Rational Rose and the Unified Modeling Language UML .
