The system support segment of this position is responsible for monitoring, system outage first response, and outage triage. The Credit Facilities software system is the corporate-wide loan tracking system to include desktop, online, and mainframe architectures making it one of the largest systems at the company. This position performs daily system performance reviews reporting prior to open of business. Improvement recommendations would be communicated to both Computer Operations management and Systems Development management. This position interacts with senior managing staff of user departments and system departments. In the case of system outage, this position has the key role of information collection, initial problem triage, communication and direction to peer professionals and management. The process would bring together all the necessary resources, i.e., Operations, Data Security, Development, and Users, to set recovery direction and execution.

The system development segment is responsible for all steps of the system function creation and implementation. The key result is affect seamless implementation of new functions to this large computer system. Another result is the support of standardized development methodologies to achieve on-time and on-budget development activities. In this role, critical communications with system users and system interface developers insured accurate development. Lastly, this key system role facilitates testing of various system architectures and applications systems. These testing sequences cover up to ten distinct applications and user areas.

Lastly, this position participates in a cross-functional team to maintain system financial reconciliation with the Mellon General Ledger and interfacing systems. In this capacity the position supports the technical financial calculations, i.e., loan interest, present value, future value, stream of payments.
