Advisory I/T Specialist/Software Engineer

• Responsible for successfully delivering a fully functional customer facing J2EE application while managing a team of developers. Responsibilities included lead architect, lead developer and project management spanning requirement gathering through delivery and support.
• Managed delivery of several releases of a J2EE portal application by creating project plans, managing content and defects, coordinating deployments and managing project resources.

• Utilized both Java Applet and RMI technology to facilitate the gathering of information on a customers host system to order service via the Internet and automatically install it on the host system. Responsible for creation of new functionality via the user interface.
• Created java utilities to report on the status of user's orders for service via the web. This helped to determine if there were problems within certain key areas of order delivery/fulfillment. Statistical information was gathered and given to the service coordinator for reporting to senior management.

• Responsible for addressing user's issues regarding key system applications. These tasks included analyzing code, installing code fixes, customer training, and maintaining database integrity through the use of self-created utilities.
• Worked in a team environment to develop an Electronic Grading and Attendance System using ColdFusion allowing our education department to operate more effectively. This included creation of several utilities to extract data out of Legacy ISAM files which then was pushed to SQLServer.
