  • Formed and was sole proprietor of Encompass Technical Services, Inc., a consulting company targeting small businesses with the development and deployment of custom applications for the PC platform. In this capacity, produced 5 end to end solutions:
  • STAR System Sample Tracking and Reporting A real time Laboratory Information and Management LIM System using Clipper and C under MS DOS. The STAR System included direct integration with laboratory equipment such as gas chromatography and MASPEC machines and direct integration with business operations including accounting, billing and client reporting. The system provided remote access for clients to view laboratory results on-line.
  • CIH System Computer Industrial Hygienist A relational repository created from public information ascertained from OSHA, EPA, NIOSH and ACGIH publications and archives. The system provided a complete reference for industrial hygienists for compounds listed on OSHA's Z1000 Hazardous Materials list. The system gave easy access to federal regulations, handling and sampling requirements, permissible exposure limits as well as health, safety and physical characteristics of each compound on the list. The system also provided the means to compare sampling information to regulated exposure limits to identify potential compliancy risks.
  • RTK System Right to Know A chemical inventory and reporting system to assist companies with compliance of New Jersey's Community Right to Know Act.
  • Dos Event Engine An event handler and definition system to allow programmers to create event-driven, windows like applications on MS-DOS systems. The engine was the core component of the RTK and CIH Systems defined above.
  • Sales POSitive System A point of sale system designed for a three-store auto-electronics retail chain.
