Description: Cognos is the world leader Business Intelligence (BI) and performance management solutions. It provides world-class enterprise BI, planning and consolidation software and services to help companies plan, understand and manage financial and operational performance. The project involved working on their Cognos Series 7.4 / 7.5 Suite where we manage enhancements, customer requests and do manual as well as Automation testing of the product with continuous interaction with development team.

Responsibilities:

Designing of test specification, Requirement test plan, Component test plans and schedules test strategies for the applications and executed them.
Automating Various IBM Cognos Powerplay products (e.g.; PowerPlay Client, Powerplay Web, Powerplay XL and Powerplay Data Services) using winrunner.
Writing Manual Test cases for various applications.
Perform Smoke test of the application Pre & Post deployment of the application on QA Environment.
Install, Uninstall and troubleshoot the Cognos suite in various platforms (UNIX and windows) manually as well as through automated scripts and find and report if there is any bug.
