Project1: Basis Adjustment Inventory System

BAIS takes the Basis Adjustments amounts from Findur, attaches them to specific Bond ticket numbers or Mortgage Loan number and Segment, tracks them through the various asset transfers in Maximis or Enterprise, amortizes the Basis Adjustment amounts every month over the remaining life to maturity of the asset, and records income and loss amounts in the general ledger. In summary, BAIS is the vehicle that amortizes and inventories Basis Adjustments that are attached to hedged items. If a hedged item is disposed, then the remaining unamortized balance of its associated basis adjustment is to be written off.

  • The Derivatives application is a valuation, accounting and reporting system for derivative assets for Manulife, John Hancock and their subsidiaries. It consists of numerous components, most notably FINDUR and a Hedge Matching Algorithm HMA .
  • Confidential is a vendor developed, fully integrated front through back office solution for derivative trading, control, administration, accounting and reporting. Manulife uses FINDUR to administer derivative instruments. As part of the Derivatives Integration project, FINDUR has been customized to support FAS 133 accounting/reporting and modeling of John Hancock derivatives. Reuters is an additional key component of FINDUR that provides real-time and end of day pricing information.
