Designed and worked on various CXL CTRM modules hands-on with developers mentored and coached them. Lead a team of five developers. Redesigned the FIX deal entry server for multi-leg deals from ICE, NYMEX, Trayport using Java NIO and did micro-benchmark. Re-designed the event handling and event valuation module. Developed datamining application for VLDB database containing marketing list data. Improved query performance four fold by the following methods : Separate database connection pooling resources for oltp and dss queries, hash and range partitioning of data, proper clustered and composite non-clustered indexes, cube and multi-dimension indexes, isolation levels to prevent blocking, parameter markers in queries reducing re-compilation, query optimizer flags, tablespace design and i/o luns carving for temp, dss and oltp tables to prevent hot spots and efficient read ahead algorithms suitable for different RAID levels. Research Associate

The Genmine project funded by NSF/NIH grants mined genome data to search for patterns describing multiple loci disease models. Created software package using component model based object interactions gluing together via loose coupling the GUI front end JSP and struts , the main java server driver engine with hooks to log and debug classes and the backend algorithmic classes in C . Re-used the genmining algorithmic libraries with different interfaces for the server driver engine for different set of tasks. Created various test beds using perl/awk/unix shell scripts. Computations in the algorithms implemented in C based on the 3-SAT problem, string matching, probability and statistics for the homologue crossover.

Lead Developer and SIP Subject Matter Expert SME

Developed the Communication Group Gateway acting as a conduit server to route calls between Call Processing Service Manager SSM and the client to establish a call session. Session Initiation Protocol SIP is used as a session layer interface for call processing. The SIP Gateway handles the SIP protocol message parsing, validation, routing and retransmission. Gateway sends/reads messages with client sessions through sockets with UDP datagrams. Gateway sends/reads messages with the Call Processing Manager SSM by placing messages into and reading from the Routing Manager Queue based on MQueue architecture. Authored the SIP Infrastructure Document architecture dealing with the Planning, Installation, Configuration, Management, Test Environment and Test scripts. Developed multi-threaded message handlers for reading and writing both at the client end listening and processing UDP packets using sockets and on the SSM end processing messages in the Routing Manager Queue. Implemented the SIP parser using lex, yacc and BNF grammar. Implementation done on HP-UX 11 using C , STL, RogueWave using Visigenix C ORB.

e.Gateway Service Activation Manager SAM application dealt with ordering, billing, trouble administration and gateway to other interfaces including Telcordia's Exchange Link and PacBell's Caesar / Exact . Developed the Context Diagram for the interaction between all the workflow interfaces in e.Gateway. Architected and implemented the key interfaces using C , STL, Roguewave. Did extensive performance tuning, run-time memory analysis using Insure and Purify. Re-architected performance intensive parts of the code dealing in message queue structures and Oracle database connection pooling. Implemented the middle tier logic in Orbix C 3.01 on AIX 4.3.2. Front-end/Middleware Developer

The Universal Service Request Broker USRP provides a single interface for ordering Frame Relay, ATM, INCS and Private Line Services. The entire architecture is component based on Java Beans Technology. Implemented client interfaces in AWT/JFC and Swing. Developed business logic functionality in the middle-tier in multi-threaded java implementation based on CORBA Visigenix 3.4 ORB IDL interfaces. Developed C modules to store partial order data orders which the user did not submit to fulfillment in the web gui using proprietary G2 language api's in file persistence format which is accessed/stored using CORBA C inteface calls. The advantage of this format is faster access, avoidance of database calls in partial filled orders which does not satisy the database integrity to create a record in the database. Implemented business logic in the JDBC tier layer via Callable statements and Sybase database layer via stored procedures. Applied CMM level 5 process to the above modules.

C Developer

The Inventory Application Program IAP was Algorithmic Solution application for the Steel Industry Manufacturing and Scheduling problem. The algorithms were based on Network Flow and BiPartite Weighted Graph Matching problems. Created a parser to generate parameterized C classes from Cobol input data which became data holders for operations by the thread safe algorithmic classes implemented with LEDA and STL.
