- Responsible for Monitoring the Unisys Clearpath for performance issues, all day to day system problems, and MAPPER coordination and system administration responsibilities.
- Responsible for recovering the Mapper database when database corruption occurred. When Mapper aborted, worked with Unisys support to understand and resolve the problem. Similarly when system aborts occurred supplied dumps and logs to Unisys support and worked with the Unisys support analysts to resolve the problem.
- Worked on project to convert residual applications from Clearpath mainframe to Student Information Residuals SIR using BIS for Windows on Windows 2003 server using COOL ICE software of the BIS for WINDOWS 10.1. This resulted in the shutting down of the Unisys mainframe Sept 2008 to greatly reduce costs. The new SIR server hosts the historical Student Information database primarily from 1980-2008 but also has one database from 1947 to 1982. The historical Student Information data is viewed via the Cool Ice screens. SIR interfaces with the phone dialers via the Oracle IVR database and is used for attendance messages, as well as ad hoc messages by the schools, and mass calling. SIR is also used to interface the Transportation server used for bus routing with the current Student Information system SIM . Local School Council LSC programs store information for the local school councils that are responsible to oversee each school. SIR has over 1700 active users in the schools and in central offices.
