Act as a central manager for a client's integrated release testing region code promotions using the Changeman software tool. Maintained
promotion sequences to ensure all code was available for scheduled release test passes. Integrated releases can include fifty or more projects supported by twelve to fifteen development groups. All code updates are passed to the release manager for promotion to testing libraries.
Also assist with the monitoring of all batch executions in the testing environments using OPC. Modify JCL streams, restart jobs, and advise development groups when their jobs fail. Provide test application scheduling support through OPC, as well.

Responsible for installation, maintenance, and on-going development of software which provided automated processing and decisioning of consumer loan applications. Application also included contact with the major credit bureaus and interpretation of their credit reports.
The vendor-supplied software product was Confidential included their credit bureau request engine, Search. I functioned as the lead technician for the initial installation and several subsequent maintenance releases. This required coordinating with the user group to establish the request record and return record formats, as well as solving connectivity and interpretation issues. Also met regularly with the risk analysis group to develop new scoring processes to improve performance of loans and reduce the bank's risk exposure.
Other functions included building and installing the Confidential for the batch jobs required for system backup, file cleanup, and reporting, as well as providing on-call support to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements.
Also created and maintained an archive retrieval system to support the consumer lending ACAPS system that was used by Confidential
prior to the Confidential buyout. This system consisted of a series of off-site tapes for data storage, a group of COBOL programs used to select specific records from the archive and format a report from those records. Loan applications were located by indexing them on a DB2 table by date, applicant name, and application ID.

The product was called ACAPS Automated Consumer Application Processing System and was provided by Confidential Management Systems. This vendor also provided the credit bureau access engine, Bureaulink.
Worked closely with the vendor to coordinate program modifications in support of the 32 separate banks that were part of the Barnett group. Conducted extensive testing and system modifications in support of the subsidiary banks.
Initial installation supported Barnett Dealer Financial Services for processing automobile loan applications from participating dealerships. Later modifications permitted the processing of applications for credit cards and personal loans from the individual bank branches.
All systems used COBOL and CICS with VSAM as the primary file strcture. Maintenance tools included Fileaid, Eztrieve, IDCAMS, and Endevor.
