SUMMARY

With almost 30 years working in various business environments, I have attained a unique blend of IT skills and career experiences that allow me to assimilate into different types of system environments effectively and quickly. My broad range of skills has enabled me to work on projects in the Microsoft, UNIX and IBM AS400 environments. Ranging from mainframe conversions to UNIX and Client - server applications, to Web based applications; I have been an effective member and/or project leader of development teams. I enjoy working with clients and internal staff and strongly believe that success is achieved with teamwork and hard work. In a system design capacity, I believe I have the ability to work with end-users, analyze different business or technical issues and develop solutions and/or alternatives that would satisfy user needs, long-range project goals and stay within budget constraints. My long-range career goal is to work into an information systems management position gaining additional responsibilities as my career experiences progress.

Currently, I am a member of the Group O. Inc. Corporate System IT Group. Our group's main focus is to maintain and enhance the company's IT application systems. Group O consists of three primary divisions - Supply Chain Solutions, Packaging Solutions and Market Services Solutions. My primary roles have been related to business systems review and development within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment. Other areas where my experience has been utilized is in project management tasks, the overhaul and development of internal EDI systems and SQL Server database reporting.

As a Senior Consultant with the Integrated Technology Solutions Group of RSM McGladrey, Inc., my main focus was in the application development area, but my knowledge of the UNIX and Microsoft environments were applied to numerous projects across many of the consulting services groups at RSM McGladrey, Inc. I have been involved in many projects at both the application developer and project manager levels, including successful year 2000 conversion projects for large local corporations, a major intranet system used by a Wall Street Fortune 500 mutual fund management corporation and the complete replacement of a legacy system with a client/server solution serving locations throughout the United States. I was awarded more "Spot" bonuses for customer service, support and satisfaction than any other consultant in the Iowa region.

Prior to joining RSM McGladrey, Inc. in 1994, I started my professional IT career as a sales engineer and application developer with a small consulting firm located in Moline, Illinois where I was responsible for selling, developing, installing and maintaining UNIX-based computer systems for business, engineering and government applications while managing a small staff of developers.

I eventually started my own consulting firm and worked closely with major computer vendors such as NCR and Unisys assisting these firms with local installations of UNIX-based systems. In the application development area, my firm worked on projects for local fortune 500 companies, as well as small family owned businesses and other software consulting firms. After merging my company with a regional consulting/contracting firm, I took on the project lead position on various projects for clients in the distribution, manufacturing and financial industries. During this time I was approached by an RSM McGladrey ITS partner from Des Moines. That encounter resulted in my being hired as the 15th employee into the ITS Group that grew to over 120 during my employment at McGladrey.
