Counter Improvised Explosive Device Division Chief

Had the honor of being a by name selectee retiree recall, serving as the Counter-Improvised Explosive Device C-IED Division Chief to develop and manage C-IED programs. In this senior leadership assignment I had a staff of 40 and oversight of about 150 U.S. and coalition military, government and contracted personnel in multiple sites across the country. In this assignment one of the cross functional international Integrated Project Teams IPTs I led conducted a study of Afghanistan Army and Police C-IED programs. I managed multiple complex projects through numerous multi-hundred million dollar contracts. Through improved literacy screening and more hands on training we increased the Explosive Ordnance Disposal school graduation rate from 15 to 55 . After identifying that the equipment fielding plan was failing by being at 30 , we adjusted the logistics plan and achieved an increase of a 95 delivery projection. Upon identification that the EOD team training projections only achieved 48 of the goal we developed a plan to achieve 73 by 2014. Received three medals and retired from the Army Reserves.

Developed strategic operations and training plans, then through the staff developed work plans to meet the tactical goals and objectives.
