This is an order processing system, which involved the computerization of a sales order processing. The development of this project was intended to automate all the operations of the sales department of an organization in order to decrease the order processing time, reducing the cycle time in customer service and improving the efficiency. The main modules of this project were Sales Order Processing that maintains all the details of a sale, right from enquiry stage till the closure of the order and Sales Accounts that tracks the payment details. The various reports that were generated using this software were Enquiry, Quotation, Order Acceptance, and Sales Invoice, Sales Reports, and Accounts receivables.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzed defined customer requirements/ specifications and offered solutions to fit the customer's need.
• Use Cognos Impromptu to create Catalog files, create IMR/IQD and Cubes using Cognos 7 EP Series, Impromptu and Transformer. Schedule the cubes.
• Applied appropriate client/database server balancing for the reports.
• Created User Classes that reflects the business hierarchy and provided security.
• Designed Catalogs, Reports and IQD's using Impromptu Administrator.
• Created standard filters, calculation, prompts, and conditions.
