- FACTS is a Legacy system which generates the policy number for new business policies and sends the data to many downstream systems like Cyberlife, Suitability, Marketing Management Information System, Policy Writing, Medfees Medical Fees , Field Data Administrator System FDAS etc. Also it communicates with Medical Information Beuro MIB , Motor Vehicle Dept by Labone, Clinical Reference Lab Choice point etc to get necessary information requested for each policy case.
- FACTS generates policy numbers for Life and Annuity cases. FACTS gets new business cases from different service centers and General Offices through FACTS online system and NYLapps New York Life Application System . FACTS also generate a number of reports on daily and weekly basis and send it to the respective departments.
- Generalized Disbursement System GDS is one of the most critical applications of New York Life Insurance Company. It manages day-to-day disbursement of money out of New York Life. It processes company's disbursement for group life, disability and health claims, dividends, pensions and supplementary contracts to its customers and Payroll for NYL employees. It also maintains the disbursements data for Special Markets and Long Term Care. GDS interacts with all the administrative divisions of NYL responsible for disbursement and also interacts with a number of banks all over the United States and abroad there is only one bank outside of USA presently that NYL deals with i.e. Royal Bank of Canada .
- The purpose of the Management Information Reporting System MIRS is to provide service activity data and other business activity data for Home Office and Service Center management reporting purposes.
