  • Developed and programmed in COBOL using RM COBOL and COBOL WOW with Relativity on a Windows NT platform for client/server applications. Responsibilities included adding, modifying, and fixing programs mostly in the maintenance sections of the system. They included:
  • New ‘Family Notes’ program written under the Patient Notes tab of Maintenance Eligibility.
  • New ‘Case Management’ program written under the Patient Notes tab of Maintenance Eligibility.
  • New ‘Suspend Client’ program re-written from one entry to a table under Client Maintenance.

  • Developed and programmed in COBOL using MicroFocus NetExpress and Fujitsu COBOL, C# and VB.Net, web applications in HTML and worked with EDI and XML using SQL and Oracle databases on a Windows NT platform for client/server applications. Responsibilities included design and writing of various programs which included:
  • A backup and restore processing procedure for completed shipments. This entailed any database records related to the shipment such as freight bills and shipment records to be removed from the active database to an archival database.
  • Major contributor to the bidding system on both the package and web processing. This enabled a carrier to bid on a shipment that was created by the customer.
  • Equipment availability processing added so that a user could tell which carriers had equipment available for use in shipements.
  • Major contributor to the select carrier process where a customer could select a carrier over the computers selection of best carrier. This was added due to customers requesting they sometimes want to use a specific carrier over the computers selection.
  • Line Item Update which allowed the user to modify individual lines in an order before it is shipped.
  • In-transit alerts for late shipments that allowed the user to keep track of where the shipment was while in route.
  • Converted the NT Services from COBOL to C#.
  • Other responsibilities were to design and write code based off of enhancement documents and to fix customer support bugs.
