The Budget Request process is composed of six steps in the following sequential order: Creation, Study Team Review, ASL Approval, Conduct, Reconciliation, and Close Out. To accomplish the Budget Request steps, an electronic Workspace will be developed to provide personnel involved in Budget Request management with a vehicle for creating, monitoring, reporting on and conducting what-if analysis on Budget Requests.

Budget Request involves the creation of 3 budget request types associated with a Protocol Study. These 3 budget requests types are 1) a Study Startup, 2) a Full CTB that has its contract and outsourcing data loaded manually, and 3) a Full CTB that has had its contract and outsourcing data modeled and electronically loaded from the Cognos database.
