Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, manage resources, provide and coordinate training, and lead and direct the efforts of a team of systems analysts, developers, and other technical staff wif an emphasis on innovation and creativity.
  • Analyze operations and business teams requirements, business processes, and procedures in order to solve complex technical and business problems wif ingenuity and simplicity. Design and develop customizations, new systems, and reports to meet user requirements. Plan and prepare technical reports, memoranda and instructional manuals as documentation of program development. Develop integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party applications using various tools and techniques.
  • Utilize PeopleSoft development tools such as Application Designer, SQR, PeopleCode, and Application Engine on a daily basis to customize existing PeopleSoft applications and design and develop new custom applications and reports.
  • Examples of custom applications created wifin PeopleSoft include custom time and labor, absence management, and time and expense modules. Also developed custom State of Texas K-12 reporting modules as well as a custom replacement for the existing PeopleSoft workflow system to meet district requirements.
  • Primary systems administrator and database administrator for all PeopleSoft application servers, WebLogic servers, and Microsoft SQL database servers, all running Microsoft Server operating systems. Responsible for performance tuning and maintenance of all servers as well as installing and configuring all PeopleSoft domains.
  • Project manager and technical lead for installation and configuration of all major upgrades, service packs, patches, image updates, tax updates, PeopleTools updates, Windows OS upgrades, and SQL Server upgrades. Successfully led two separate major version upgrade implementation projects for all PeopleSoft systems utilizing only in-house resources.
