- Migrated business processes of GMAG from spreadsheets to thinkFolio - a vendor based Portfolio Management system that supports multi asset trading and sophisticated modeling capabilities
- Prior to ThinkFolio, GMAG users managed their portfolios on complex excel sheets with lot of manual processing that was very error-prone. I worked with the users to understand their work processes to ensure ThinkFolio will be able to support required functions. Prior to the users starting UAT, I conducted a very thorough recon test to ensure that thinkFolio portfolios closely represent the user accounts and any differences can be explained. - Application server migration from Solaris to Linux
- All of the overnight jobs of Equities business within J.P.Morgan were utilizing a Sybase 12 database version. The project involved repointing some applications and all overnight jobs to a new server with Sybase 15 . There was very high emphasis on this project since any glitch during migration would have resulted in the systems not being ready for portfolio management the next day. We completed this migration without any issues in the overnight batch run and it has led to faster processing.
- This project involved migration of some applications and all of the overnight jobs of Equities from Solaris to Linux. I conducted meetings with all relevant teams such as Infrastructure, DBAs, application teams, application support, QA, etc to ensure that the new infrastructure was set up as required and we could proceed with a phase migration approach.
