Responsibilities:

Required installation of our flash arrays and a one petabyte data migration from Confidential VMAX and VPLEX to an HDS G1500 as well as HDCA/HIAA, FCIP switches, HAD, HDID replication, HNAS and a NAS migration component as well.
Handled all aspects of the engagement, host list, data collection, remediation, migration event planning and tracking, issue resolution, dashboard reporting on migration metrics…..
Assigned to turnaround a troubled project for a financial institution with a $3.5 million investment and extensive delays.
We had to re-baseline the project, redesign the solution and restart the data migration.
This project had C-level exposure and required lots of teamwork and communication between the two entities.

Created an overall solution to merge the new infrastructure with the existing infrastructure to move data to the new platforms.
Data migration and technology refresh project for a financial services firm utilizing the VPLEX.
Migrated 500 host from a VMAX20 to a VMAX 40 in three separate data centers.
Also worked with customer on their cable infrastructure, switch upgrades and testing in their POC environment.
Provided remediation reports, host scheduling, a Task List and migration event coordination.

Data center build project for an energy company taking on a new contract.
There was no infrastructure at all in place, we had to build the infrastructure while installing the equipment in real time to get up and running.
Products installed were VMAX, VNX, Data Domain, DLm and Networker.
The VMAX was split between mainframe and open systems.
We also had to do a data migration which meant setting up WAN’s between sites and using SRDF to move data on the mainframe.
Oversaw and coordinated quarterly installations and product upgrades for a financial services company for VMAX, VNX, Data Domain, Centera and Confidential switches.
Coordinate all activities for BIN files, Confidential ’s and customers change management system.
Emergency product installations and relocations for a healthcare company impacted by super storm Sandy.
Had to complete installations of VNX in temporary trailers, a new Centera in a DR site and sync all data, relocation of an Isilon system and upgrades to a data domain.
This was extremely time sensitive as the main data center was flooded so the medical center was down until we brought up the new equipment.
It required daily conference calls with senior managers and constant re-planning around obstacles.
Took over a troubled switch refresh and fabric migration project for a financial services company that required Confidential clearance for onsite and system access.
Extensive remediation on host, all new cable infrastructure, schedule and communicate outages with application group, multi-vendor coordination with customer, unions, applications and senior management.
