Responsibilities:

  • First assignment, 9/12 to 5/14, was Agile Scrum Master of a Java webapp development project developing an enterprise natural resource management website for the confidential that distributes $30B per year, comprising the majority of the mineral royalty transactions managed by the confidential in the US. I managed a 16 member software development team, 5 direct reports, including remote onshore and offshore team members using agile/scrum methods. Skilled at agile team performance measurement, velocity improvement, and project planning using MS Project 2010 Pro. Technology used Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle. Most team members were remote in the US, and 2 in India. I used agile/scrum team management methods. The line of code count is 200,000 lines. The productivity index achieved for the project was 18, which is better than the Confidential benchmark for similar projects.
  • Second assignment, 5/14 to 8/15, was Program Management support of a production data center (VDC-HIM), 80 team members, in which I implemented ITIL best practices in operational processes. I managed the organizational changes needed for this accomplishment. I also architected, developed, and implemented a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Daily Reporting system for the data center. I used Eclipse BIRT and MySQL for that.
  • Third assignment, 8/15 to 10/15, was miscellaneous tasks for Confidential Federal, including membership on several proposal teams, IT issue resolution for OPM, DHS, and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager of an IT project (2011) which imported the TAMU-SA campus web site, and Business School website, 1200 pages, into a Cascade CMS server, and added 3 new apps. 5 project team members. New line of business for the department, establishing an ongoing business relationship.
  • Development Team Lead (2010-2012), multi-campus Enterprise application, MealPlanTracker, which tracks meal plan orders, enabling credit card purchases and student billing. 30 million dollars revenue yearly for the University. Working with EIS, I managed the integration of the webapp with Howdy portal for control of Parent Access using a web service. I managed the original implementation of parent purchases and mandatory freshmen resident meal plans.
  • At TAMU (EIS, 2007-2010), Oracle ERP implementation and solution integration. I developed several channels and servlets on an Oracle ERP Portal(JSP, Java, JQuery, DOM), 2009, 2010, including Parent Account Request channel for students(incl webservice client), 1098T viewer, Transfer Audit Report viewer, Faculty CV and Course Syllabus file upload servlet, Howdy Search channel, Directory Info Hold(PLSQL). Also developed a reporting system integrated with the Oracle ERP system.
  • Also at confidential, I designed and developed an SSO system between Oracle ERP, uPortal, and E-Print using CAS3 web authentiction. This is a unique IT solution in production, 150,000 users, 2008. I rebuilt the ERP login design, and I reverse-engineered (hacked into) the Oracle Forms Server and changed the Oracle Login applet, to accomplish this. When deployed the first time in production, 6000 concurrent users the first day of Fall registration, zero(0) trouble tickets were opened.
