PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Confidential
Development Lead
- Initially the sole AIM resource at Brooks and asked to lead an assessment of an at-risk B2B integration project. Development and functional teams were not coordinated and timelines were being missed. The existing project plan was not workable. I conducted a gap analysis of the solution that had been built to-date and provided technical recommendations. I then created a backlog and began enforcing Agile methodologies across teams. Following immediate project stabilization, onboarded an additional 5 developers and led the implementation.
- Successfully demonstrated a Beta version of the fully integrated application to Board of Directors in time for holiday freeze
- Earned an unsolicited spot bonus from Confidential in recognition of overall contributions to this new client
Environment: Project Management, Java microservices architecture exposing REST endpoints leveraging Undertow containers, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, JSON, API design, Jira, Scrum, SOAP, Eclipse Neon, Subversion, Git, Apache, Maven, Assembla, JMock, JUnit

Engagement Lead
- Designed and delivered a new internal web-based tool to support the cell tower design and approval process for Confidential engineers, consolidating 4 disparate solutions that were historically used to manage this process. Project ran for 3 years w/an average team size of 4 developers. The tool went live and now supports over 400 engineers nationally.
- Designed and delivered a new data entry and analysis solution for the Confidential device lab group. This solution provides both web-based and batch methods for Confidential employees and external vendors to submit hardware test results to a central data store, which was then transformed into a star schema for easy analysis and data discovery via a packaged reporting solution. Project ran for 18 months and involved 3 developers.
- Built a dashboard for the Roaming team at Confidential to socialize roaming data across a dozen teams in Confidential . Historically, these groups would struggle to determine the nature of roaming outages, partner issues, and other crucial data important to provide a quality customer roaming experience. Solution included an integration layer which would consolidate source data and a custom web front-end with a customized experience for each group.
- Responsible for daily activities of 4-5 developers on the Engineering Data Warehouse team, a group that maintains a cluster of servers which pull Confidential ’s entire network data from physical cell sites across the US and aggregates it on a daily basis for staging and delivery to internal Confidential groups. Data volumes were large (~5TB) and the solution was very complex, containing thousands of discreet tables.
- Doubled the value of the Confidential account for confidential due to delivering quality projects on time and offering predictable and proven successful project delivery capabilities to the customer.

- COnfidentual has an internal tool to “spotlight” certain companies and people in their internal portal, built on a highly customized version of SharePoint. Client resources had a backlog of defects associated with the solution and lacked the domain knowledge and bandwidth to address them at a sustainable pace. Worked with the client to clean up some of the implementation as well as deal with the immediate backlog issues.
- Helped define a strategy to deliver a platform for managing internal referrals between brokers to drive cross-geography and cross-offering traffic within the organization. I was responsible for driving the requirements-gathering process, designing the technical solution, defining project schedule, and leading a team of 4-6 consultants from inception through to delivery of v1.0 release. Leveraged an MDM approach to consolidate disparate broker and client information in order to make it easier for employees to make internal connections. Developed and deployed on Azure.
Environment: Project Management, .Net, C#, Azure, Javscript, JQuery, WCF, SQL Server 2012 fuzzy grouping and DQS, MDM, Entity Framework, SharePoint, ASP.Net

Team Lead
I led a team of 4 consultants in designing and delivering set of tools to assist the Confidential SEM (Search Engine Management) team members in analyzing and interpreting the quality of ad groups and keywords that drive traffic to the Confidential website. The tool replaced a set of siloed Excel-based tracking solutions with one that provided a holistic view of ad word purchases, helping to improve consistency across markets and allowing for better performance and purchase management within the team. I was responsible for producing a work breakdown based on client requirements, planning sprints, and managing the daily tasks of the development team, while also acting as lead architect and contributing directly to the code base. Developed and deployed on EC2 instances leveraging S3 storage.
Environment: Project Management, Java, J2EE, JQuery, AWS EC2 and S3, ETL, DB design, Spring Framework, Maven, CruiseControl

Brought on to an in-flight project re-vamping the entire front-end of the suite of tools the Confidential utilizes to run all of their real-estate development initiatives. The project was at risk and my role was to immediately add development bandwidth to the implementation team. Project was brought back on-track over the course of 5 months.

Technical Project Manager
- Managing the backend integration work with a new integration partner to handle claims processing for the EMR. Managed regression testing effort with an additional 7+ existing source systems. Collaborated with EMR Technical Manager and Offshore Development Lead to ramp up development resources, define configuration management approach, execute component test, and support the onshore / offshore test execution effort. Managed all day-to-day vendor and client relationships, and the offshore team. Managed to project schedule and milestones.

Internal Role - Architect
- Worked within Confidential 's Connected Health IT Practice analyzing and designing health information exchange solutions. These SOA-based health gateways enable the exchange of health information by leveraging core components including MPI, RLS, Identity/Access Management, Terminology Services, Provider Directory, Audit, Document Registry/Repository, Analytics, etc. These solutions then connect to various disparate Lab and EMR services, enabling the exchange of critical medical information.
- Key contributions include evaluating NHIN Connect and helping to define Confidential 's national NHIN strategy. CONNECT is an open source software solution that promotes IT interoperability in the confidential system by leveraging a SOA architecture to enable secure electronic health data exchange among healthcare providers, insurers, government agencies and consumer services.
- Also worked closely with confidential Hospital to integrate an open-source public health reporting system to automatically assist in detecting and reporting contagious disease outbreaks within at-risk populations. The solution utilizes an event-driven reporting architecture to identify cases which require follow-up and then initiates a workflow to escalate the case as appropriate. This architecture allows for a distributed deployment because all events are brokered through a centralized heuristic event detection engine which will detect cases even when the source data resides in multiple systems.
