- Managed the DWAR (deployment WAR) training room for 3 months. Guide engineers on the performance monitoring tools being used (initially they were unaware of these tools), and create process flows with lead, lag and waste times of each unique deployment method (provide transparency to the other teams). Drive down 2,000 projects being monitored to 1,000. Created a network deployment project template that provide an estimated time of implementation for internal staff, provide transparency.
- Crisis management of derailed projects. Typically called upon by GM or Sr. Director to evaluate the current state of the project and provide a new project plan to enable the project to complete by the original implementation date. One of these derailed projects would’ve caused a shutdown of licensing sales in Amsterdam.
- Manage the “follow - the-sun program”. Onboard new overseas network deployment engineers with visa’s, training curriculum, mentor, achievement process / sign off, welcome letter instructing them where to report, office location and mentor name. Monitor performance weekly to ensure the training was successful or identify areas that need improvement.
- Annual budget preparation and resource planning, created an automated spreadsheet with time parameters of each past project and using the demand forecast through supply chain to trend. Calculate engineers required to perform the next fiscal year network deployment projects.
- Provide root cause analysis on derailed projects with people, process and technology. Report findings to the network deployment team and the GM. Host the findings meeting and advise on the areas of improvement.
- Co-development of the first GNS knowledge hub for new hires; process, curriculum, SharePoint site, welcome letter and mentor program. Manage and maintain the knowledge hub as the processes and equipment evolve.
- Network security program manager. Provide weekly vulnerability reports to engineering managers. Drive down security vulnerabilities and bugs by 40% (began with 825 reduced to 500) within 1 month. Turned chaos into organization, created the reporting process and established rhythm of business with engineering managers. Reducing the vulnerabilities saved MS from audits exposing the issues and mandated reduction to uphold government contracts.
