Project Manager / Senior Programmer Analyst – Home Warranty and Auto Warranty

• Designed and implemented Web Services to replace claims processing normally done over phone and data entry. Substantially decreased labor costs and the time to process claims by eliminating phone usage and drastically reducing data entry by call center personnel. Achieved instant claim approval for a key client with over 70 locations and reduced call center FTEs from 40 to 12 saving the company substantially and continue to be the lead IT liaison for all IT communications with our key client.
• Lead a major project as Project Leader/Manager by designing a Peoplesoft interface involving several business units within the organization to bring forth a single solution to automating a Peoplesoft General Ledger interface. Achieved success as the project streamlined implementation of future business lines into the interface while minimizing the cost in 5 IT departments. The General Ledger interface now serves as a centralized hub for all of our business lines and processes over 20 million financial transactions per month.
• Designed and implemented a dynamically branded website to serve up B2B and B2C commerce. Cut time for developing new sites from months to a few days by creating user-controlled table-driven designs in Java/J2EE running on Websphere and JBOSS. Reduced time to market for new websites from 80 days to 3.
• Lead a project to define and create a homegrown document management system. Identified and addressed all outbound communication needs including fax, print, inserting, mailing, email, archiving and on-demand retrieval of documents. This comprehensive system saved the company thousand of dollars in outsourcing fees. Time-to-market for new communications went from weeks to hours.
