  • Corrected financial records and erroneous journal entries, audited and corrected tax statements and payments, and developed an exit strategy for the sale of an ambulance dealership business yielding an additional $50K of asset sales revenue.
  • Provided forensic accounting services to a large accounting firm in NJ in support of a bankruptcy litigation suit in the Philadelphia area. Services included analysis of QuickBooks and MAS 90 accounting files, and various business documents from a Summation DB (database). The DB contained over 200,000 documents and approximately 20 million pages of data.
  • Developed strategic business partner relationships and reseller relationships with key business partners for a small business consulting services company. Clients included Philadelphia/Camden High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, Baltimore County Police Dept, State of Wisconsin Dept of Justice and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
  • Provided DB consulting services to the U.S. Small Business Administration. Project managed a team of 8 DBAs and supported over 35 DBs. Most DBs were Sybase with some MS Access and Oracle. Provided UNIX DB admin support services and used Erwin for DB modeling for new the development of new DB models.

  • Installed, integrated and sold VisualLinks and Digital Information Gateway software products to law enforcement and national intelligence organizations.   • Provided direct support to five VL/DIG clients/user communities. Utilized SQL Server, Oracle and MS Access DB admin services extensively.   • Sold consulting and project management services to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in support of the SIC to NAICS migration project. The initial task order value was approximately $90K, and resulted in the issuance of additional task orders formore than $450K.
  • Developed the SBA agency wide migration plan from Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) small business size standards to the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS). Analyzed all small business support programs and their corresponding systems to assess requirements. Estimated the project development efforts and costs. Developed and coordinated the overall agency conversion efforts (involving 5 competitor contracting companies) to make all systems and processes ready for NAICS usage. Conversion effort was completed on time (5 months) and within budget ($450K).
  • Sold consulting services to Hughes Network Systems in support of their sales force automation objectives. The opportunity generated $250K in consulting revenue.
  • Led the sales efforts for Contemporary Technology Inc and developed the sales organization infrastructure with associated goals, budgets, and compensation plan and business model. I recruited and managed a staff of 3 sales professionals.
  • Project managed a staff of 30 IT professionals and was responsible for on going enhancements and support of 32 subsystems that were comprised of more than 1,800 modules for the SBA. Client satisfaction was extremely high based on my performance appraisals and agency letters of commendation.
  • Phased in Continuous Maturity Model (CMM) principles to attain a CMM Level 2 certification for the SBA. CMM certification was an important goal of SBA upper management.
  • Project managed a Loan Accounting Web based application using ColdFusion and Sybase. The project was completed in six and one-half months.
  • Developed the Y2K remediation plan for the SBA. The plan consisted of a system inventory, the assessment methodology, renovation and coding requirements, the systems compliance test plan and a contingency plan in the event of any system failures. On 1/1/2000, only 3 minor problems existed and were resolved within 48 hours with no detrimental impact on the agencies services and performance.

  • Project managed a Federal Communications Commission document imaging system for a consortium of telephony industry clientele. The project was estimated to require a twelve-month development effort with a project team of four individuals and was delivered on time.
  • Project managed a asset/tax accounting system for a consortium of Regional Bell Operating Companies. The project generated $1.2M in revenue and was delivered on time and within budget.
  • Project managed a Fixed Assets Accounting System for Benjamin Moore using the Software International fixed assets accounting package. The project implementation and conversion effort was estimated at six-months.
