- Managed the conception, development, and rollout of eCOSystem, the 24x7 next generation work platform for Confidential ’s Network Operations that enables the reengineering of work processes and evolution to “future work centers” by transforming cultural work habits.
- The eCOsystem suite of applications enable the standardization and automation of complex work processes and optimizes flow-through levels for end-to-end service delivery.
- eCOSystem provides seamless and ready access to all relevant data, and is composed of various integrated web-based point and click systems including: eCenter - a common application desktop for each type of network operations center with real-time access to dynamic content from multiple legacy mainframe systems; eCOT - a single point of entry for central office technicians to access their daily work, providing the infrastructure to build a process-based digital assistant to the central office technicians, including a distribution system to ensure technicians have appropriate parts and tools in their trucks to disposition tickets/issues in the field from centrally positioned warehouses; and eVisor - a web-based management tool for the central office and center supervisors that allows the supervisor to effectively manage the technicians and their workload.
- eCOSystem has been deployed to the entire Confidential nationwide footprint with usage by over 75,000 field and central office technicians and their supervisors.
- The rollout of eCOSystem has reduced overall mean-time to repair (MTTR) by 15%, and is currently providing Confidential ’s central offices cost savings of over $20M per year. The application was developed as a cost- savings initiative to decrease dependency and eventual replacement of several legacy IBM mainframe systems by utilizing modern web-based solutions. Technologies for eCOSystem included IBM Websphere, J2EE, Microsoft .NET, and integration with various Oracle financial applications, Siebel, PeopleSoft, and Essbase Business Intelligence systems, as well as corporate HR and billing systems.

Responsibilities:
- Managed the IBM OS/2 Video Device Driver Team, comprised of a 20-person development group, and a 5-person QA group. Patented a video device driver application that enabled the full certification, without human intervention, of all supported video/graphics APIs, including GPIs, VIOs, Graphics Engine APIs, Workplace Shell APIs, as well as OEM drivers from S3, ATI, Weitek, Matrox, Diamond, Trident, and many other video chip and video card manufacturers.
- Software development efforts were managed using CMM-4 specifications. Additional responsibilities included architecture and design reviews, development plans, QA plans, personnel reviews, and developing realistic and achievable career goals for the staff.
- Technically guided the IBM OS/2 Base Device Driver Development Team of 17 developers and QA, responsible for all the base operating system device drivers for Intel and PowerPC platforms, including: serial, parallel, keyboard, mouse, floppy, SCSI, IDE, CD-ROM, PCMCIA, APM, tape, and scanner devices.
- Several drivers were ported from AIX. The Device Driver Test Tool™, an object-oriented application written in C++, was developed and used via white box and black box testing methodologies to automate the QA effort. Also designed, developed, and published The ViewerTool™, a multi-threaded object-oriented OS/2 PM application, written in C++, utilizing the MMIO subsystem to display popular various video file formats, such as BMP and TIFF, and the OpenGL interfaces, using special custom-written DLLs, which automatically sized and scaled all displayed images. Both DDTT and the Viewer Tool are currently published in the IBM OS/2 Developer Toolkit.
- Lead developer of a team of 18 responsible for architecting, developing, testing, and delivering IBM's Multimedia Presentation Manager for OS/2. Over 1 million lines of code were accomplished to deliver the multimedia device drivers within MMPM/2. Certified the product operated at the Media Control Interface (MCI), Multimedia Input/Output (MMIO), Sync/Stream Programming Interface (SPI), and the low- level device driver layers.
