Responsibilities:

  • Implement VMware ESXi hosts, NSX virtual networking security software, along with Palo Alto smart firewalls. Use Layer 2 Adjacency for networking/firewalls that will allow for dual active systems, with identical IP addresses for secondary DR system.
  • Achieve High Availability for all servers so that failure of any server will immediately be picked up by the duplicate server Confidential the DR data center. Due to a distance of only 10 miles between data centers, affording only .5 milliseconds of signal transmission latency, achieve synchronous writing of all customer transactions to duplicate databases.
  • Terminate and decommission hosted data center that did not provide adequate DR and BC services.

  • Managed the internal IT Transformation Program for the merger of Walgreens with Alliance Boots.
