Its main design is to download data from DB2 MVS to DB2 AIX on a daily basis. A Visual Basic front-end is used to verify patient information.
  • My responsibilities includes: Install DB2 on AIX, setup Db2 Connect in order for data to be pulled from MVS, design physical databases and coded Visual Basic application to retrieve patient record from dB2 AIX.
  • This application has replaced the microfiche process that has to be sent to all hospital overnight, saving 6 millions dollars a year.
