    Summary

    This involved fixing the existing code. Used DW (Data Work flow) system to keep track of the failures being addressed.
    For currency conversation the output for converted data showed “Pkg(s)” instead of “Week(s)”. The problem found was that the data structure was not initialized before being used to fetch the reservation details.
    Data first being entered in the screen and then rate shop being made After this the screen data changed from one way to two way and then again rate shop being done, still fetch rate for one way.
    The solution was to include validation on location fields when rate shop was invoked.

  • MES34102.7: VAX C, C++ Motif, Rdb,MMS,CMS
  • Responsibility involved adding of a print functionality to the existing GUI application. The print functionality made use of the existing library routines to display the data in a report viewer. The reporting was done for the existing inventory in the plant wither based on the Material ID/ Lot ID and it could further be detailed by its location.Responsibility also involved redesigning the GUI front-end. The inventory data was to be displayed in three tables instead of one. The idea was to give a clear picture of how much inventory is in storage, its Lot / Material ID and how much and which lot/material has been used and finally the total inventory available, reserved and the balance on hand for each lot.

  • This involved converting existing application from Vax \'C\', Motif to SilverStream application. This was done to prove that other applications can be converted in the similar manner.

    Other projects worked on VAX/DEC C, C++, Motif, Rdb, MMS, CMS are MES34102a.1, MES342.0, MES342.1, MMR1.0, MMR2.0.

    Projects @ Confidential,

  • This consisted of moving a data from one VAX/OPENVMS 6.0 systems database every minute. This was accomplished by establishing a link between the two nodes and transfer the data from the source system to the other.This also required scheduling of the task on both the systems to be run every minute and was accomplished by using a VMS scheduler.

  • Process Control Applications – VAX C
  • Responsibility involved study and bug fixing of the existing small applica tions and writing small calculations programs as and when asked by the chemical (process)engineers. Some data collection programs where also developed.

  • Pump House Database (GuptaSQL) (Pilot project)
  • This involved creating a database for the pump house data and also the creation of the GUI for data entry. Also print functionality was to be provided. The special functionality in the GUI was to populate the GUI with the data of the existing application. This application did not go in piloting and production.

  • Report Viewer (VC++ and VAX C)
  • This involved developing of a client and a server application. The client was developed in VC++ and established communication with the server developed in VAX C.
