Managed a global team of 12 people responsible for supporting the Regulatory Employee Profile Solutions (REPS) application, a global system used to manage employee regulatory data. The system provides business process automation of various employee compliance events such as registrations, outside brokerage accounts, personal account trade pre-approval, private investments, outside interest approvals and for-profit directorships.
Responsible for negotiation and communication between technical teams and Compliance business users globally. Managed the day-to-day activities for 8 developers and was responsible for client service requests, tax withholding and reporting processing and raising critical issues to senior management when necessary. The system was built initially to be used in combination with the Wall St. Concepts transaction processing service, by switching to database processing and performing reallocations internally, which resulted in a firm’s annual savings.
Was part of Sedona project management and was responsible for technical direction and detailed planning for the project. Sedona was the strategic tax platform that centralized all client tax calculations and provided a robust system to easily deal with tax law changes while scaling to handle increases in transaction volumes received via real time messaging. Designed and developed the listener (using TIB/Rendezvous 6.7) responsible for consumption and transmission of messages generated by the GS Portal for Siebel. Responsible for the design and development of a Java Messaging switch to create interoperability between Siebel, legacy systems and the GS Portal. The interface comprised six servlets that are communicating through forwarded Request and Response object (Chained). Each Request sent by Siebel uses HTTP POST. The system provided both database and API connectivity. Connectivity to the databases was provided by two connection pools located in the WebLogic Application Server. API connectivity was based on session beans (EJB’s), the interface locates the proper EJB home object and calls the methods exposed by the GS API. DOM object is used for data sharing among the components which facilitate the conversion in and out of XML. Tested and deployed all applications in Development, QA and Production environments.
