I recently finished [6/1/12] my project working as a†consultant†for Confidential as a Nurse/Systems Analyst/Builder/Implementer/Trainer for the Community HealthCare System. I understand their current workflow, design their new workflow to be cohesive with the new corporate standard, and work the project thru Go-live implementing Point Of Care Pyxis barcoding synced with their EMR “Health Information System”. I have also cross trained on their HMS Patient Care system providing the full range of services from Site Assessment, detailed workflow planning, build and modification of their model, and implementation golive. Particular close attention is focused on their drug formulary databases to ensure trouble free operation when the Nurse scans the patients arm band and all meds at bedside. System testing is iterative until we are error free. These are all necessary steps for them to achieve their Meaningful Use goals.
Prior assignment was working with Confidential as a Project Manager [Clinical Informatics] implementing their EMR solutions “Chart Access” & Meaningful Use Certification at small hospitals throughout the Southern United States.†
Prior assignment to Confidential was working at Confidential as an RN Charge Nurse [focused on both Rehab and Geri-Psych units gaining additional clinical and management experience in the Healthcare community]. My secondary responsibility was the local software upgrade coordination on the Meditech EMR for the Confidential [assisting the Corporate Rollout team focused the next software upgrade]. I am an RN certified in informatics and rehab nursing.
My technical/informatics experience also was utilized to successfully finish a consultant project on configuring and installing Cerner medical records and billing system for Confidential.
