Project Planning Engineer

Responsibilities:

Vector and Raster Data collection from all State GIS data clearinghouses, hundreds of third - party sources and the State s Fish and Game stock reports.
SQL queries were formulated for the management of dam, river and fish database.
Data management was carried out in ArcGIS 10.3, QGIS, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Resultant shape files depicting the lentic or warm water fish presence across every water body within the
Study area was made.
Confidential and estimation method was used to create raster images for population analysis.
Using the Confidential + dataset and the fish species dataset, a spatial relation was formed river streamlines and the corresponding fish species found in every streamline, lake or pond.
Confidential maps were created to compare and establish the relationship between dam data and lentic fish populations.
The key result of this research was to show that when the density of dams in a certain region increases, the population density of warm water fish communities also increase.
Vegetation loss and gain were observed using Landsat 8 images.
