Project Management

I manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, from establishing the project team at the concept phase and mentoring the team and other participants through the deployment phase. All have comprehensive project plans and other necessary documentation such as customer specifications, vendor agreements, etc. Project status is presented to corporate management in a timely fashion utilizing software such as MS Project. I am forward looking in these to anticipate any potential problems. I establish databases to track and control deliverables issues, problems or concerns. I also manage projects within agreed to time/cost/quality/risk parameters. I have managed full life cycle projects in a variety of disciplines: hardware, software, process and internet.

As a contractor and previous project manager for IBM I was called back to help them establish the program and software for certifying their project managers. This is still used today for that purpose. I’ve also structured, setup and managed business functions (project offices) with overall responsibility for project management.

Business Process Development and Reengineering

Reengineering of enterprise processes to meet current business/customer needs. Optimizing, reengineering, deleting obsolete processes and establish new processes, policies and/or procedures that are conducive to today’s business environment. My emphasis is on cycle time, cost reductions, and using the latest technology while increasing productivity and quality.

Disaster Recovery Planning

I design plans for the storage and recovery of business data, equipment backups and to get the business up and running again with minimal impacts.

Document Management and Technical Writing

Designed, developed, authored and also managed areas responsible for the production of technical documentation including pharmaceutical EOP’s/SOP’s & GCP’s, product/process flows, manufacturing instructions, functional and customer requirements specifications. Also end user manuals (software & hardware), quality training materials and manuals, Web help and education, responses to customer requests (RFI/Q), project plans, product information pamphlets, executive presentations, on-line-help, etc.

Designed, deployed and managed documentation systems for the control, distribution and approval of documents.

For software and hardware, I interview and work with the developers, SME’s and users to generate the required documentation: design specs, user guides, functional specs, etc.

Customer Relations Management (CRM)

Expertise in handling customer Requests for Information (RFI) or Requests for Price/Quotes (RFP/Q). Act as Prime Interface between customer/supplier. Convert customer requirements into specifications, assessed current products vs. new product design and build to fulfill customer needs. Managed the manufacturing of these discrete products (on-time/on-budget) and assured customer satisfaction.

Product Development and Manufacturing

I have extensive and broad experience in all aspects of both product development and manufacturing environments for hardware and software. This is from the concept stage through attaining high volume/yield and lowest cost production. I work very effectively with all project personnel; developers through manufacturing.

Quality Program Deployment and Training

Design quality programs, deploy and train personnel in company quality procedures. I have expertise in industry quality regulatory practices including Total Quality Management (TQM) and ISO 9000, etc.
