Responsibilities:

  • Working with the other departments of the company as we acquired new entities and opening other offices around the globe for increasing distribution and decreasing manufacturing costs.
  • Salesforce, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Rootstock projects that were behind schedule prior to my involvement were initiated and completed within the planned timeframes with zero downtime and no delays.

Designed new systems to replace old legacy systems by moving 25 physical servers to a local managed virtual 2 host system integrated into a new domain architecture.   • First of it’s kind time tracking application built for the foundry industry. Tracks every step of the manufacturing process from quoting through to polishing and shipping. Offering many reports and services to the company that they previously did not have.
  • Offer remote and local tech support for the entire 35-person office. Set up VPN’s for MRI companies to connect to the doctors so that they can review studies for high-level legal cases and offer testimony for the clients.

  • Hired to do forensic analysis on current CTO to discern if fraudulent activities were being committed. Took over once transition was complete and took the company to higher standards on technology and business matters. All website development, business strategies and office management were part of the job description.
  • Managed a team of employees ranging in duties from video procurement to marketing, finance and web design. Took the company from 500 users to close to 100,000 in a matter of 8 months, executing strategies on the web and social media.
  • Guided and finalized a blanket publishing deal between Edge and Universal Music Group, allowing them to be one of only three global entities (others being YouTube and Vevo) allowed to stream all video assets from Universal with no additional publishing costs.
  • Started development and management of assets to create the Edge Mobile App. Finalized the terms on the Rewards Program to allow users to gain points for watching videos and using those points to acquire merchandise, tickets, passes, etc. Created the points economy for the entire company so that they knew exactly what every second of a user’s time was worth.

Responsibilities:

  • Recreated the company’s entire commission structure, migrating from FileMaker Pro to SQL Server 2008. Investigation of current business model and complete understanding of 8 year old commission structure. Normalized the SQL database, created necessary indexes, functions and procedures. At the completion of the project, the commission calculations that were taking the other program hours to run through, the SQL server could do via stored procedures in under 2 minutes. Optimization of data was key in the success of this project.
  • Designed and implemented a new tracking system for the Power Department of the City Government that allowed them to track the power usage and savings for Green efforts across the country. Interfacing with multiple landlords and facility management companies, designed a system that will track the rating of the companies and landlords using the NABERS system. Highest level of performance and tracking was necessary in order to make sure that the numbers were reported properly, as government funding and reporting accuracy was on the line. Worked with the highest levels of the agency to ensure that the information was secure. Heavy implementation of SQL Server and migration of data across multiple sources. Helped migrate the data and site to their virtual server and VDI environment where the local resources could maintain the information and lead the effort to migrate support to them.
  • Responsible for all of the technology support and decisions for the organization. Developed and maintain their current website as well as their internal community sites. Architected their Exchange and AD environment and maintain their hardware and software. Oversee the telephony and hardware for the employees as well as implementing new technologies as they arise (universal messaging, document management and GoGreen efforts to reduce paper flow in the office). Citrix solutions put in place in order to better performance with applications to National Kidney Foundation Resources.
  • Project Manager for Active Directory and Exchange migration spanning 70 international offices and 80,000 users worldwide. Developed a 6-month global migration plan to change users from the NT domain structure to Active Directory. Much time and care was taken in planning as most of the development internal to Yahoo was done on UNIX and java to stay true to the open-source nature of the company. Java servlets needed to be modified and tested separately to ensure that the new security topology would flow properly. Project managed the Data-Center migration from the in-office 25,000 sq ft data center to the production data center 25 miles away. Needed to maintain 100% uptime for services on Windows and Unix boxes to ensure data consistency and service levels. Implementation of Citrix and VMWare Server Virtualization through VDI and xSphere in production lab environment in order to facilitate the migration efforts and consolidate hardware. Implementation of Windows DFS in order to keep all users that were being migrated connected to the documentation that was needed during the transition. Setup and management of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in order to inventory applications and create reporting for migration effort. Used reports to create application specific packages to migrate current users to new platform with zero downtime. Hardware and software changes due to the new infrastructure required a deep level of decommissioning for systems. Old legacy applications needed to be taken down due to security changes. Users from all over the world were given access to the DFS links in order to access help documents and start to look at migrating their application into the DFS structure. DNS modifications were needed to replicate changes to all sites. Large NAS solutions from EMC and NetApp were used across the company for many different applications and access was absolutely critical during the migration.
  • Project Manager and Lead Developer of an intranet portal with a scalable database in SQL Server and web-application as a replacement for an existing manual faxing process. Communication with all levels of the business from file clerks to C-level executives. Requirements gathering for the application. This workflow and documentation development ensured the company was adequately prepared for a comprehensive investigation of documentation and financials. This documentation had yet to be managed electronically before. Through the process of development, review, and documentation, I uncovered nearly $4.5M in lost revenue or overpaid rents spanning a period of 3+ years and increased process efficiency by 75%.
